The July, 2005 issue of Sport Diver Magazine (the world's largest scuba and snorkeling publication and the official publication of the PADI Diving Society) contains a feature story by me called "Finding Easton." It's a rare candid look into how I do the on-site research for my books (yes, they are novels, and therefore fiction, but hey—I'm a stickler for accuracy). In this piece, I invite readers to accompany me as I visit Bermuda, the setting for a large part of the very next Beck Easton novel, DARK FATHOM (due to begin shipping on December 2). I write quite a bit for Sport Diver, as I consider it "on mission" for my novels for me to stay well-acquainted with the St. Somewheres of the world. And my editor there, Ty Sawyer, is also an internationally known, prize-winning writer, and a guy with a great grasp of the power of language, so writing for Sport Diver is a chance to get feedback from someone who really knows his stuff, both editorially and (scuba-wise) technically.

I have now concluded all of my 2007 appearances that were scheduled prior to the start of the year. But check back; something last-minute might get booked.
For 2008, I am already scheduled to teach at:

This is the well-known conference hosted by Ms. Billie Wilson and held in Bradenton, FL. The dates for 2008 are February 28-March 2.
My fiction workshop received some very nice comments, and attracted some great writers, so I'm coming back in 2008. For information, see the Florida Christian Writers Conference Website, at www.flwriters.org.

Held in Ridgecrest, NC May 18-22, and hosted by my friend, the fine novelist Yvonne Lehman, this conference is a classic. I'll be teaching something that has to do with fiction -- details to follow as we get closer to the event. For more information, see the conference website.
